FrameLoad#
- class xara.FrameLoad(model, shape, elements, *, force=None, couple=None, offset: Tuple[float, float, float] = None, basis: str = None)#
Apply distributed loading on Frame elements.
Note
Currently only supports 3D models.
- Parameters:
- model: xara.Model
Model containing the elements
- shape: str
Shape of the applied load.
"Uniform"and"Point"are supported.- elements: List[int]
Tags of the elements that will bear the load.
- force: List[float]
List of 3 force values in the coordinate system identified by
basis.- basis: str, default="global"
Key defining the coordinate basis of the load arguments
forceandcouple. Options are"local","global", and"director"
- Model.eleLoad("FrameLoad", distr, n, [r, m, ]/, basis, shape)
- Parameters:
- distr: str
key defining the distribution of the load. Options are
"Uniform"and"Point"- n
force values
- basis
string defining the coordinate basis of the load arguments
nandm. Options are"local","global", and"director"
Note
This loading is intended to supesede the preexisting beam loads. Currently it is only supported in 3D by CosseratFrame, ElasticFrame, and ForceFrame
Added in 0.1.33
Support for ForceFrame
