Orthotropic Wrapper#

This command is used to construct an Orthotropic material. It is a wrapper that can convert any 3D (Linear or Nonlinear) constitutive model to an orthotropic one. [Oller2003]

An instance of a previously defined isotropic xara.MultiaxialMaterial

Elastic modulus in x direction

Ey

Elastic modulus in y direction

Ez

Elastic modulus in z direction

Gxy

Shear modulus in xy plane

Gyz

Shear modulus in yz plane

Gzx

Shear modulus in zx plane

vxy

Poisson’s ratio in xy plane

vyz

Poisson’s ratio in yz plane

vzx

Poisson’s ratio in zx plane

Asigmaxx

Ratio of the isotropic to the orthotropic strength along the X direction (Fxx_iso / Fxx_ortho)

Asigmayy

Ratio of the isotropic to the orthotropic strength along the Y direction (Fyy_iso / Fyy_ortho)

Asigmazz

Ratio of the isotropic to the orthotropic strength along the Z direction (Fzz_iso / Fzz_ortho)
