xara is an open source library for nonlinear finite element analysis that is built on the core OpenSees classes. The library can be used to run legacy OpenSees Tcl and OpenSeesPy scripts, with several added improvements.

Core components have been refactored to leverage modern C++ features, which has furnished substantial performance improvements over the alternative serial OpenSees interpreters.
